perfect!!

great app... every scale imaginable plus simple to use and nice sound too - highly recommended :)

Most simple yet complete app

Tested all the apps. This one is perfect. Worth the price compared to all the free or pseudo free apps

Good!!! A suggest...

The app is good but, to get 5 stars must have two small-big things: play-along function and visualize any scales on a single string...Just an individual string! This changes will be great to study! It´s my only critique.

Nice App but...

essential tunings are missing for me. What about Drop C or Drop A? Can you please update it? Thats the only Way i can use this App. :( I will give 5 Stars then :)

Another great guitar app

I love this. For 2 bucks it contains every scale you can imagine and its fully interactive. Keep up the great work planet waves. Also check out chordmaster

No sound since OS 3.1.1

5 stars anyways, great product very well done, but I hope that Planet Waves will come with a patch soon to correct that annoying bug. Other than that Its the most useful scale reference tool I own. Good work

Another Great APP!!!

Very Happy! A++++++++++++

What tunings?

I use alternate tunings, but no playable scales show up. I have contacted them twice in six months. Still no scales. Why offer tunings if they dont work. There must be better apps for scales.

Fantastic App

This app is invaluable, especially for the incredibly small price tag. Disappointed that theres no drop tuning and 7&8 string guitar on here, but Id suffice to say thats on future updates (fingers crossed for us ERG guys!) Great resource regardless though.

Dont update

The old version of this and Chordmaster were much better, in too many ways to list here. I would provide direct feedback to the company if I could, but the in-app support link is broken.

Still standard tuning only

So they took the time to remake an all new interface and change the graphical apearance of the app but still fail to provide alternate tuning. Not even D drop work, come on, thats so lazy. Great app if you use standard tuning though.

Does not work

Not only the design is awful, but the app does not work at all. Horrible.

Gr8!

usefull, user friendly, perfectly done...

Awesome.

Ive been waiting for this app to come out ever since I saw something about it on the chordmaster app. This app is more than it was going to be. Every scale imaginable is on here. Ive played the guitar for almost 5 years and I havent even heard of some of these scales. This app rocks. Buy it now!

Very Impressive

They did a nice job in making this app to complement the chord master app. The interface is similar in layout and functionality, a little tinny sounding but still a great accomplishment to be able not only to see but to hear all of these scale patterns and arpeggios. If you trace a "Z" across the scale it will play the notes in succession. The scales are presented in patterns that you advance to one at a time much like the chord master app, instead of just being able to simply scroll across the entire neck, and I think it is probably better the way they chose to do it as they are presented in a more practical manner. I really like the inclusion of the open slide tunings as well as DADGAD, drop D and Eb, and the ability to choose among functions, note names and fingerings. If I there was an improvement that I would like to see, especially since they are referring to this as a "companion to the chord master app", it would be perhaps a tab that showed related chords to the scales, modes and arpeggios. As it is, much like the chord master app, it is just a large volume of information with no indication of theoretical or functional application. A good model would be the excellent Guitar Grimoire by Adam Kadmon, which shows just about every practical scale for a given chord and vice versa. This scale wizard is really an excellent resource, but can be daunting for a more beginning player and I think that this would be helpful. Color coding the chord tones and shapes within the scale would be ideal (root does show in black), but Im sure would require a lot of work on the developers end. But hey it certainly appears that they took great care with this app to be far and away king of the scale apps, so to see improvements like that would not surprise me. Take it from someone who has collected a lot of chord and scale books over the past 30 years, for 2 bucks this is a tremendous value. Five Stars. Bdogg says check it out.

Great job boys

Works great. . . and I sure you will only improve more over time.

Love it

What a great app. Easy to use and very deep. Well worth the price.

A must have!

Should be mandatory for all guitarists (like me) that need to get away from using the same old scales & modes.

One word. WOW!

This is the perfect musical companion for an amateur guitarist and probably professional too. There are times when I want to solo on a song that I have either just heard or received. I will usually have to figure out the key, then arrange my positioning to get the best sound. This app has cut that time in half. If I ever get stuck again, I will have this to fall back on. The number of scales is truly remarkable. Add to this modes and this is almost the perfect application. Bravo and well done. Thank you so much for this.

Works great, only one thing...

It would be awesome if you could let us choose the modes for the different scales, otherwise it is perfect.
